Before her meteoric rise, just two short years ago Sarah Palin was the mayor of Wasilla, a population of about 5500 people. Thinks creationism should be taught in our public schools, homosexuality is a sin, and life begins at conception. She’s a gun-toting, hang ‘em high conservative. Imagine her negotiating a nuclear non-proliferation treaty?

McCain's Record of Blocking Veterans Health Funding
Yesterday, Sen. John McCain promoted his veterans private health care “plastic card” in a speech to the American Legion. Though he insisted the “card is not intended to either replace the VA or privatize veterans’ health care,” veterans groups aren’t buying it.

McCain Campaign: There are no uninsured-Wow!
Mr. Goodman, who helped craft Sen. John McCain's health care policy, said anyone with access to an emergency room effectively has insurance, albeit the government acts as the payer of last resort. (Hospital emergency rooms by law cannot turn away a patient in need of immediate care.) "Instead, the bureau should categorize people according to...

Why McCain would be a mediocre president
(Rosie's notes: And now for something completely negative. McCain has squandered his career and has nothing to show for it. What experience is he touting? How many times will McCain be wrong and Obama be right for people to understand? McCain = Bush)
The assumption seems to be that McCain's years of experience in the military and in Congress of course give him the background and tools he'd need in the White House. But is that true? Does McCain have the right stuff? A careful look at McCain's biography shows that he isn't prepared for the job. His resume is much thinner than most people think.

Welcome to the Blog
Welcome to my blog. Just a quick introduction...I am a regular citizen not being paid by or coordinating with any political organization to my knowledge. (The payments I am sure of...coordination is what is up in the air...I'm just not sure of the legal definitions here.)
Anyways...the basic premise of the blog is two-fold. One to re-iterate why I am supporting Barack Obama for president and second to re-iterate why I am opposed to John McCain. You will find that the recurring theme is that articles about Obama tend to make me fired up and ready to go, while articles about McCain tend to remind me that he is equal to or worse than George W. Bush. But my snarky comments aside...please follow my links and read the articles for yourself. It is up to you to make up your own mind.

Fired up? Fired up! Ready to go? Ready to go!
Can we finally return America to the heights that it deserves? Yes, we can!!!
